HHLA TK Estonia is among the most recognized foreign investors in Estonia

At the annual Entrepreneurship Award competition, HHLA TK Estonia was recognized as one of the three best foreign investors creating high added value in Estonia.

HHLA TK Estonia participated in Estonia’s longest-running business contest in the category of foreign investors, where among other things the jury evaluated the total volume of investments brought to Estonia, new highly qualified jobs created in the country, along with added value and innovation.

“In 2020-2022, the HHLA group invested a total of over 14 million euros in HHLA TK Estonia. This includes, for instance, the addition of two large STS container cranes, as the result of which Muuga can receive the largest container ships passing through the Danish straits. Several other investments in recent years were also aimed at increasing the efficiency of cargo handling, including the introduction of a mobile port crane with two power drives and an automated gate system,” said Riia Sillave, chairman of the board of HHLA TK Estonia.

HHLA TK Estonia was named among the top three businesses in its category together with Riverty Tech OÜ, a developer of e-commerce platforms and payment solutions, and FLIR Systems Estonia OÜ, a manufacturer of infrared devices, which was announced as the winner at the award ceremony held on November 4.

In Estonia’s longest-running entrepreneurship contest the participating companies were nominated in six categories: in addition to the Foreign Investor, there were the Innovator of the Year, the Exporter of the Year, the Tourism Promoter of the Year, the Sustainable Company of the Year, and the Family Business of the Year.

Since 2018 HHLA TK Estonia has been a part of the leading European logistics group Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA).
